Then came Psalm 12:6 ratifying what the Lord has made happen for the ministry. “The words of the Lord are pure words.” Indeed, God’s undertakings are perfect, His dealings are pure, not carnal. His ways cannot be assessed with carnal minds. They are esoteric, seemly coded and encrypted to the carnal mind. I recognised that my part was absolute conviction in His undertaking which has not been made plain to mere human understanding. Some in the leadership team were quick to perceive what happened for us, but too cryptic to analyse. Truly, He gives “knowledge to the discerning.” Daniel 2:21 (NIV). I sensed that my awareness and acknowledgement was more important to God than anything other thing that occurred within that latitude. Solely by grace, I was able to access and possess the long-awaited land.
Retreat 2022 marked 10 years ago when I dared in faith to embarked on this envisioned annual event. It was 2012 when it was incongruous to initiate such a plan due to London hosting athletics in most hotels due to the Olympics. A decade later, we have the Lord’s faith-award through this accomplishment. This establishment within meadow has been a highly anticipated one. No wonder the year’s session was spiritually ceremoniously in nature; power-packed through and through without a third party considering it a bit of exaggeration or fable. Every participant could attest to a taste of the glory of heaven us those almost three days on that site.
As it had rained prior to our arrival at the lodging, so we also had open heaven upon us throughout our stay. During each session were outpourings from God’s presence amongst us. The ambience was beyond this world. Life-transforming occurrences called for personal overhaul to each one of us twenty-one attendees. Each one of us enjoyed special encounters of His dealings either within the sessions or alone in our suite. Retreat 2022 was a ‘celebration’ heavy with divine manifestation. There was different manner of groaning of the spirit heard within the room. Ladies laid prostrate in surrender and submission to the force in the room. The atmosphere was saturated with God’s cloud. It was God’s troposphere. Physically, no one could have her way. God’s tangible presence controlled the order of the sessions. This was certainly beyond us and beyond words. By divine direction, on the eve of the final session, I mentioned that it is expedient that seven of us sleep overnight in that inundated conference room for extensive inundation required for needed changes. We did, and the night was full of life which did it for me, and the other six ladies along the room mate of one of the six who announced to us later about the encounter that sent her off her comfortable bed to the floor of the conference room.
Draw near to God, and I will draw nigh to you (James 4:8). We must endeavour keep us our lives pure, so God can make His abode with us (John 14:23). “For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright” (Psalm 11:7).
It is that simple. Living in righteousness is simply living right. When we choose to live for His glory, we are guided and that is life itself.
Truly, God had crowned us with loving kindness and tender mercies (Psalm 103:4); returning home in Kent to C3R, I eulogised Him:
God of wonders!
How we saw Your wonders
And we witnessed Your orders
Which repositioned us for purpose.
You began it
Having bestowed it
To Your glory and honour
In our favour
I’m in awe of your splendour!
