Revelation Revealed

Author’s Introduction Prophecy preachers have a hard time interpreting the Book of Revelation. Uniformed by the ontology of the universe, they come up with private interpretations no two of which agree. Preterists, for example, believe everything in the Book of Revelation was fulfilled when the Roman Emperor Nero drew his last breath. Futurists believe that most of the Book of Revelation is waiting to be fulfilled in the future. Even among futurists, the so-called premillennialists have their own private interpretations, and the so-called postmillennialists have their own private interpretations. Do any of these private interpretations have legs to stand on? Not according to the Bible: And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place ... knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation (2 Peter 1:19–20 [emphasis mine]). People of like mind and faith agree with one another. It is the character and seal of truth that all teach and expound the same thing. People don’t argue about whether the sun shines at noon, or whether two and two add up to four. The undeniable fact, however, is that in the Christian church today there exists not one but many different interpretations of the books of Daniel and Revelation. There must be something missing here, otherwise there would be agreement across the board. In this volume we will unearth what is missing in terms of the connection between ontology of the universe, the anthropology of humankind, and the disclosures in the Books of Daniel and Revelation.
