Summary Statement
The end of the journey for believers is eternal life
represented by ‘fountains of living waters.’
It all goes back to the rivers that watered the garden and
the tree of life.
When God breathed life into Adam, the word ‘life’
means ‘live forever,’ and ‘fresh running water.’
The word ‘breathed,’ or ‘breath,’ means ‘spirit.’
The Prophet Jeremiah spoke of ‘the fountain of living
water’ referencing the Spirit that would be given to the
remnant of Israel in the future.
Subsequently, Jesus also taught that the ‘living water’
that He would give was the Spirit of God.
Those with the ‘Spirit’ would inherit eternal life.
Those who would reject God’s free gift of living water
would taste of God’s wrath, which would also have eternal
consequences.
God’s wrath is succinctly expressed in ‘the Day of the
LORD’ which is the time of judgment of the nations and
is approaching quickly at the end of the age of the church,
which Paul defines as the ‘end of the ages.’
And never forget God’s offer to all nations and
individuals.
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against
you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and
cursing; therefore choose life…”
Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV
But sadly, the vast majority of the world’s population
will reject God’s gracious gift of life.

About the Book
The book details God’s love for His chosen nation Israel, and His church. He loves both in the same way as demonstrated by His mercy and grace. But He is also righteous and just and requires total obedience to all of His commandments and statutes. Because man is created in the image of God, man is to emulate God’s attributes. “And now Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways ...and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes...” Deuteronomy 10:12-13 NKJV Fifteen hundred years after these verses were written, Paul confirmed that the church was to follow that same teaching. “Now all theses things happened to them (Israelites) as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. 1 Corinthians 10:11 NKJV
About the Author
The author has taught the Bible for 46 years. He has published more than 600 newspaper columns relating primarily to current events and Scripture. This current book is his sixth in this genre. He has taught at Oral Roberts University and North Eastern State University in Oklahoma where he retired as Assistant Professor of Industry and Technology in 2005. Prior to teaching he served two decades in the industrial sector. He has published two books relative to industrial technology and has been published in such technical journals as Management Accounting, Journal of Industrial Engineering, and Pecan South. He is a veteran of the USMC and presently serves as a volunteer spiritual advocate in a veterans hospital.
