"Oh, no, it's gone," Sammy cried, frantically feeling his pockets.
"What's gone?" The other boys asked, looking puzzled.
"My Grandpa's special coin." Sammy replied in distress. By now Simon and Jonas had run over to see what all the commotion was about.
"Why would you have your Grandpa's? What even is a special coin?" Simon wondered.
"It's this really old coin that's been in the family for so long now, no one can really remember where it started." Sammy started looking around as a tear slid down his cheek.
"So it's a family heirloom? Why would you have something like that in your pocket?" Simon asked in horror as he started scanning the ground with his metal detector. Sammy looked at Simon gratefully. He remembered how just moments before he had made fun of Simon and his metal detector.

Joseph and Jonas Martin plan to go fishing with their friends, but when Sammy Edwards, a boy from their school joins them and loses his Grandpa’s special coin, their fishing trip turns into a desperate search for Mr. Edwards ancient treasure. Will they find it before Sammy’s Grandpa finds out it’s gone?

Helen and Nancy live in Southern Ontario and enjoy spending a lot of time together and writing stories. Both girls have a wild imagination, adventures are their favorite things to write about. They have been interested in writing since they were very young, and one of their hopes is to travel the world some day.
