Maybe it is because you are special. Maybe it is because God has a bigger plan for you. Or maybe it is because God knows that Satan wants to take you down with him to the very depths of hell where there is only pain, sorrow, grief, loneliness, stress, unforgiveness, hopelessness, and death. The Bible states:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly,”. John 10:10

I recall the voice of a young lady named Patrick, who spoke these words to me, “I have been watching you, watched how you handle certain situations and I have always admired you. You are an inspiration to me.” Wow! all these years later, and I can still hear her words echoing through my head. I was speechless, nothing to answer her with except thank you. You understand, I did not see myself as an inspiration to anybody, let alone to her. She saw me through God’s eyes.

Yes, we can always go to the Lord for an answer. If your answer does not come right away, do not be discouraged, he heard your cry. He will send you an answer. Remember when Daniel was faced with a disturbing vision, he ate no pleasant bread, no meat and no wine for three full weeks.

We have the power to choose strength over weakness, and faith over fear. Those are our measuring tools. These are the things that make us good enough. God will never give us a task and not have given us the tools to accomplish it. We are as weak as we think, and we are as strong as we think. Proverbs 23:7 a, states, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he….

I remember waking up seeing the back of his white t-shirt, as he ran, and the house filled with smoke. I ran out, not feeling the heat or effected by the smoke. This last thing I remembered was, the moment I stepped off the last step leading away from the house, the roof caved in.

As Samson grew, God’s spirit was with him. He went on to marry a Timnath, a daughter of the Philistines, the enemy of the children of Israel. Moreover, Samson loved women who were outside of his race, and the choice of women he would love, would cause a rift between the people he ruled and his parents. He was not well liked among the rulers of Philistine.
We have lost many souls, those of the ungodly and those of the righteous. So where can I go to be safe? There is no magical place one can go and hide from this deadly virus. Safety can only be found in the family of God. Outside of his protection the odds are not favorable. If you die outside of the safety of Jesus, the punishment after death is far greater.

Seeing through the eyes of God involves trust, faith, patience, and hope. Trust that you can rely on his word to come through for you. Faith in him that what he has done for others, he can do for you and with a greater outcome. Patience to not move ahead of his divine will.

Just when you think things cannot get any worse, the bottom drops out. During the pandemic in America, there arose some Killer Bees in Washington State. The hype had many in an uproar. Could things get any worse? Aren’t we dealing with this virus and now here comes the Bees!

Trying to think through what you want me to be. I wait! I wait! I know that
you see me.
Every day I am given a new breath so I can go on and do my absolute best.
Each moment when I take a new step, I realize that you see me, and I need your help.
Fear and doubt comes my way. Please help me to make it another day.

So, what does this story have to do with how God sees us? Very simply, he was showing me that I can overcome any adversity that arise in my life. Showed me that I had the courage to hang in until he supplied the words.

These old words I heard as a child, and even spoke them myself, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt” are not at all true. Words have power, whether spoken as to be an inspiration or as words to destroy us.
