The Potter or the Puppeteer

We all have heard the Serenity Prayer hundreds of times throughout our lives. There is such a huge difference between hearing, quoting, and praying this prayer. "God grant me the serenity, to accept the things that I cannot change. Grant me the courage to change the things I can. Grant me the wisdom to know the difference."

Why is it that so many people still feel the need to change or control the lives of another? You need to lose twenty pounds. You don't need children right now. You need to find a job that pays more. He is not the one for you. You need to do it my way. You don't need to hang around those type of people anymore.

Precious Lord, prayers lifted for those who need serenity in accepting the Creator's created. Lord, prayers lifted that one will allow needed changes to be left, Whisper: in the hands of the Potter and not in the hands of a puppeteer. Selah

Be still my soul during the storms that approach. The winds, the waves, the thunder from the clouds...they never forget the voice who calls them. I KNOW to call on this same voice. I KNOW to call on God. This is where I can find shelter from the storms that continue to rage on. I am worn out from my travels and it is here where I am able to finally rest.

Whatever Enough

We may not be strong enough, smart enough, good enough, rich enough, pretty enough...whatever enough. Whisper: BUT our GOD is more than enough!

What IF....

With stage four neck cancer, on a Friday in August 2011, my dad had passed away. The following Wednesday, radiation and chemo started as my mom was attending my dad's funeral service.

As others through time have asked, I repeated the age old question in love, Lord, why did you take my dad and not I? My dad was not sick.

As I was falling asleep that night heaven sent a whisper: "Brown Eagle, what if? What if your dad after hanging up the phone that day you called him and shared with him that you had cancer, he had begun praying, "Lord, please don't take my daughter, take me instead? What if a mustard seed of believing faith was watered with your dads tears of love? What if I placed a flower in bloom upon a watered seed of prayer? What if I answered your dad's prayer? What if I came for YOU and took your father instead?

Whys, what ifs, age old questions with not always easy answers....whisper: But, never a question to a fathers whispers of love. Selah
Precious Lord, prayers lifted for each and every beautiful soul. Lord, You alone know all of their needs. The path of life these days is not an easy walk. Lord, prayers lifted that it be Your strength that carries each and every one through. Lord, may You rain peace down upon them as they continue pressing forward. Lord, may it be Your rainbow of hope and love that lights their paths. Lord, may they hear Your whispers in the winds, " I love you and I am with you." Lord, as the drums of time beat, may we hear it from our hears and keep in step with Your message. Lord, I know that Your arm and rah have no limits.
