About the Book

Angels Whisper, “Respect The Elderly,” is the second in a series of books written for children to help them learn more about the love of God and the love God calls us to have for one another. Written in whimsical rhyme and illustrated in charming water color illustrations that make it both fun to read and look at, Angels Whisper, “Respect The Elderly,” helps children to think differently about senior citizens and to see older people in a different way than we often do. That they are much, much more than they appear to be and should never be taken for granted. This book helps children to understand that old people used to be young too, and that they were the ones that made the world go ‘round. Each book in this series derives its inspiration from a scripture that appears at the very end of the story.

About the Author

Ray McClendon is a Poet Theologian who is very grateful to God for the gracious gift of verse and thirty years of teaching ministry that has provided a few insights along the way. Ray’s desire is to combine faithfulness to the stories and principles found in God’s Word with lovely art and clever rhyme to retell these Bible stories in a way that will entertain as well as instruct the mind, touch the heart, and fire the imagination. More of Ray’s poetic work may be found at his website, Reflections of A Poet Theologian, at www.dropsofdew.com

In addition to writing children’s books, Ray still serves as an Outreach Minister and a Police / Fire Chaplain for his community.
