Nuts & Bolts of the Word

The Bible teaches us that God knit us together in our mother’s womb. He knew us from the foundations of the world and therefore had a plan and destiny for each of us. He knew exactly how we would arrive at the place where we are right now. It reminds me of herding sheep into a pen by nudging, skirting, blocking, whistling and calling. Have you ever remembered knowing things when you were a kid that you don’t think you know how you knew those things? My Cherokee grandmother told me that when I was young, I used to tug on her apron. Then out of the blue I would say something Biblical that I could not have possibly known. She said one time I told her that things were going to get really hard before Jesus returned. She said I told her there would be a time when the yellow race would rule. Now how do you suppose I knew that? Are there things you just know and you don’t know how you know it, you just do? Just the other day, a pastor friend of mine sent me an article about what is called our “Junk DNA.” The article stated; “W.I.T. scientists, in conjunction with the Human Genome Project and Bob Jones University, have made what may be the most astounding discovery of this, or any generation. While working to understand and map the function of sequences of DNA in the human genome known as “Junk DNA” The Language in the “Junk DNA”, the DNA that scientists had for years discarded as useless was indistinguishable from ancient Aramaic. Even more amazingly, as linguists started to translate the code within the human genome, they found that parts of the script it contained were at times remarkably close in composition to verses found in the bible and at times contained direct biblical quotes. One such verse was translated as Genesis 1:1.” Gee, I seem to recall that the Bible tells us that His law is written on our hearts. Jer. 31:33 and Heb. 10:16. I have always been a very deep thinker. I have always had a second sense about things around me. When I was living on the streets it was a very dangerous life for a homeless girl of fourteen. For anyone living on the streets, your life depends on knowing what is going on all the way around you 24/7. There are some pretty strange characters out there including heavily drugged out folks, people who would like to use you. Also, everyone needs or wants anything you have. They don’t always think twice about knocking you over the head in order to take your possessions or to rape you. Your life depends on knowing the intention of the person coming towards you from any direction at any time. You learn to ‘read their mail’ as it is termed. I know now that God gave me that ability to read people and situations then. Now, I know that I was blessed with the gift of discernment. As rough as that life may seem to some, Yahaveh was preparing me for the ministry that he would later place me in. Over the last fourteen years I could be standing in the pulpit of a church and out of the blue I would be telling someone in the congregation about their life and what Abba wanted to do with that life or how He wanted to bring healing into their life. I might be teaching an inner healing conference somewhere and He would show me how people of like issues would group together to one area of the room or another. There also, He would use me to read into people’s lives to tell them the root causes of their dysfunction. The only thing any of this has to do with me is my willingness to be my Father’s vessel. When I was living on the streets and going through all the dysfunctional things of my life my God was allowing me to learn from those experiences and yet keeping me safe for future use. He knew I would come back to him. He would woo me back to Himself and he would fill me, pour me out and fill me again. My healing and return to the Father was so dramatic that when He called me to study and show myself approved I studied day and night. I also studied to become licensed and ordained. Then when he called me out onto the road, my chariot was on fire to get there. I need a slight correction here. I was licensed and ordained in the earthly church but man can’t really ordain. I went out ordained of Yahaveh Himself.
