It was a cold Christmas Eve night. The main square of town was beautifully lit. Every house had a Christmas tree with sparkling lights. Excitement filled the air. But there was one house whose occupants did not feel the excitement for the season. Three teenage girls lived there. The oldest of the three sat alone in her bedroom, sobbing. Her eyes had become red and swollen, and her trembling hands rubbed her pregnant belly. Suddenly there was a knock on her door. Her mother's quiet voice asked, "May I come in?" As the mother entered, she could faintly see her daughter's swollen eyes. She continued, "I have something very important to discuss with you." The daughter shot back," We already made my decision hard enough!" The mother patiently instructed her daughter to look at her. She had something to show her... and she was offering it to her daughter even now. The daughter gasped. Then, as if in unspoken agreement, the two moved in a rush towards each other. It was time ... to make her choice.

About the Book
The Choice highlights the choices all young women have to face when they find themselves in the midst of an unplanned pregnancy. There are three choices that can be made; each comes with its own set of consequences. The first is abortion, something I would never consider. The second is adoption, the gracious gift of allowing a couple who can’t have their own children to raise yours. My heart was already in love with this little miracle. I did all the legwork, visiting all the different agencies but hating every minute of it. The last is parenting. This is also a hard choice, especially when you are young and freshly out of high school. So many expenses and so much responsibility. What choice should I make? Do I go against my heart?
About the Author
The author has had a lot of life experience. She shares her story of the choices she had to make as a teenager faced with an unplanned pregnancy. All the trials she faced ended up changing her life dramatically. Today, because of the choice she made twenty-eight years ago, she has been led to the ministry. She currently works at a shelter for homeless pregnant women and feels God has called her there.
