About the Book

Out of the Wilderness: is an inspirational - devotional-Journal book. It is a weekly trek through scriptures I have picked to go with what I was blessed to write which also has a poem that goes along with the inspiration, which I call my musings. There are also lined areas between each day for writing or what some call journaling. It goes from Month One, Week One Day One to Month Twelve, Week Five day Thirty-one. Within each week are the days. There are six sections

About the Author

Sheryl (Sherry) Norton was born in October of 1957, the first of three children and the only girl child. At the time of her birth, her parents, Donald D. Vinther and Betty Ann Williams Vinther, were living in Topeka, Kansas assigned to Forbes Air Force Base. She grew up in various places, finally landing in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she now lives. “I really count myself as very Blessed after all I have been through.” She is a three times survivor of a form of cancer. She is a widow after 33 years of marriage in which there were no children. She has been visually impaired from birth, and going completely blind late 99, early 2000. “for a long time I was blind not only physically, but spiritually”. After being a member of a cult for 23 years, Sherry says only the Love and intervention of Her Heavenly Father brought her out of deception and darkness and trying to live under the law with little love or hope although there was much fear and mans control. The sight I have now in my God I would not trade, though there are times when I wish I could physically see, I have to admit there are other times I am glad that I do not.
