God is a warrior. Psalms 24:8 says, “…the LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” God is not a General waiting in his tent while the battle rages; He is leading out front calling out, “Follow me!” God has called us to be warriors; We are in a real spiritual war. There are casualties, there are wounded, there are hurt warriors, there are warriors abandoned on the field…and that is troubling, but they are not abandoned by God. There is no one left behind! For me there is no surrender, there is no compromise, no peace treaties. THERE IS NO SURRENDER! It has been reported that more Believers have lost their lives for the LORD on the 20th Century than in all the previous Centuries combined. One out of seven Believers, world-wide, are being murdered for believing on Christ. American’s are spoiled and do not have the persecution our brethren world-wide have. We preach prosperity and that Christians don’t have faith if they are not prospering, while our brothers and sisters are losing their llives and homes and jobs. American Christians need to repent!
I for one want to be in that parade when God marches before all heaven at the head of his army of warriors. I want medals. I want purple hearts which is given for suffering for Christ. I want to be one of God’s heroes listed among the hall of faith in Hebrews 11. I want to be the tip of the spear, one of God’s Special Ops, or Special Forces. I can be, and so can you. We are those who stand up for the truth of the gospel, and preach how to be saved, even when all hell is coming against us for doing so. I don’t want to get to heaven and find out I could have been one of God’s elite warriors, but am not, because I was a coward, too fearful to don my armor and get in the battle. Or that I was too concerned with comfort and wealth. I want to join the rank of with the Hebrews 11 heroes of faith…how about you? All you have to do is get your armor on and get out in the fight. Follow your squad leaders, the Pastors and Elders. They have been in the battle and can give you direction. Start by inviting people to Church, start by sharing with your family and friends how you were saved, and explaining John 3:16 to them. But the time has come to stop hiding behind warriors and become a warrior yourself. B men! Rattle your sabers! Get into the Word and sharpen your sword. Gear up! Go forth as a conqueror in Christ! Preach the gospel to everyone!
