Now think with me, on the meaning of a seal. First a seal is a guarantee, pledge. God has guaranteed and pledged something specific… what? He has guaranteed us as believers, our inheritance (heaven). That means the believer is going to heaven, no “ands, ifs, or buts.” That means the believer cannot lose their salvation; we are eternally secure! We are stamped with the Holy Spirit. It is blasphemous to say that when God guarantee’s or pledges something to anyone that it will not be as He said. To say one can lose his salvation (eternal life) when God has given a pledge and guarantee that we will not, is willful unbelief, which is born in pride. Yet this willful disbelief is being taught in “Christian Churches” across the world! It is no wonder that these “Churches” are declining in memberships, instead of growing! I don’t make promises to my children or Grandchildren, because something may come up where I, as a mere man, cannot keep that promise. I take promises very seriously, and so does God. Jesus taught us to not make promises, but rather let our yes be yes and no be no! He knows man! But God alone can be 100% truthful and faithful to his word. If He says something, his words are as good, or the same, as making a promise! But when he guarantees or pledges something how dare mere man doubt him? To try to find loopholes in his promises to support what you have determined already in your heart to believe is blasphemy! How far has sinful man fallen! He worships religion, his church doctrine; and believes it above the promises of God! In some cases these idolaters are even believers! They were saved by grace and did not drink the milk of the word and became indoctrinated into a religion that hung out a “church” sign. God surely has his hands full with saved religious people!
Thinking of the other meaning of a seal; “to fasten with or as if with a seal to prevent tampering with;” we see that our deliverance cannot be tampered with. No demon, no angel, no man (including yourself) can mess with your salvation. How many times and in how many ways does God have to promise you before you believe Him? As a believer, you are going to heaven! This brings us to the next definition of seal; “to close or make secure against access, leakage, or passage.” Cannot God prevent every believer from being spoiled? We cannot be spoiled because Christ Jesus spoiled our enemy. “And having spoiled principalities, and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Col. 2:15). The book is closed on your salvation if you are a believer. It’s a done deal. It’s complete! There is no tampering with a done deal. No leakage! Jesus showed them up publically, revealing who has the power. He is the Almighty God and no one, no demon, or powers so-called can rob God of his children, or take them out of his hand. To prove it God set his seal of ownership upon us the moment we believed and were resurrected from the dead. If you reject this you need to repent, for you are in willful unbelief. Will you believe God or your denomination? Will you wear the crown of man’s approval or cast it away for a more glorious crown from God; a crown of Gods approval?
