The aesthetical and moral writings contained within this book, both poems and prose, reflect the judgment of the author as to what should be most important in everyone’s life namely our magnanimous creator, God, and His Son Jesus Christ who created everything including mankind and the writings additionally attempt to provide a word picture of but a few of His superfluous creations: the earth, the trees, the flowers, butterflies, America, the people, Christians, soldiers, the heavens, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mother of Christ, a woman who witnessed His death upon the cross, and others. Then too, the writings attempt to describe the marvelous sensations that most everyone experiences throughout their lifetimes namely love, adoration, scenic wonders, ecstatic feelings, blessedness, thankfulness, wonderment, excitement, peacefulness, and others.

About the Book
The poetry herein is descriptive, hopefully touching the hearts of those who have loved their country, America, the magnificent land in which we live; the people with whom we share our lives; the wondrous seasons; the marvelous, spellbinding emotion of falling in love; the marvels of the heavens; the emotions that we feel when memories come bringing beloved faces that are no longer here; the days of our youth, when the world was ever so different; the marvels of nature—the trees, flowers, mountains, wild life; the many human emotions that affect our lives in various ways; and that which lies beyond after death has claimed us.
This collection offers descriptive wording of a world that we cannot see and yet nevertheless know for certain it is there, as well as poetic descriptions of individuals who love God and country. It also includes poetry describing a lady who observed the death of Christ upon the dross, poetic words of the mother of Christ, and much more.
About the Author
Val Tiernan is a retired, twenty-year veteran of both Korea and Vietnam wars. He served in the US Air Force as a flight engineer. He also spent thirty years in engineering at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and at the Marine Corps logistics base in Albany, Georgia.
