About the Book
Written in chapter form, Poems and Prayers is a daily devotional that includes one of author Robin Swenor Shattuck’s original poems, a Scripture, a thought, and a prayer for each day, leaving room for the reader to add his or her own thoughts. Robin’s poems have been inspired through her many years of living in northern Michigan and experiencing the ups and downs of life, including Christian growth, life and death, the beauty of nature, love, and communion with the Lord.
About the Author
Robin Swenor Shattuck was born and raised in Petoskey, Michigan, and now lives in Kingsley, Michigan. She has six children. Two have graduated, and she home schools the other four. Teaching them is a passion of hers. She has written poetry since she was very young. In high school, her favorite class was creative writing. It was in that class that she began to dream of some day publishing a book of poetry. While in high school, some of her poetry was published in magazines.
