About the Book

Although we live in an age overflowing with words and experiences, many Christians are starving for God’s voice and His direction. In today’s highspeed world with its noise and distractions, we desperately need a daily quiet time and a place where our souls and hearts can be refreshed and comforted. Whispers from the Ancient Paths seeks to do this by offering fifty uplifting meditations and prayers inviting Christians to walk with Jesus on the ancient paths where the good way is and grow spiritually in that process. Rt. Rev. Jwan Zhumbes and Sandra Lamprecht reintroduce the biblical wisdom and successful spiritual practices of Christians from past centuries through various topics such as the heart’s true longing, why life falls apart, and ways to victoriously wait for God. Whispers is a journey for the heart—a quiet place where eternity repeatedly interrupts time and where hope is restored. At the end of each meditation day there is space to briefly journal what has spoken to your heart.
