How can someone who can’t die, die? How can that be? “... when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his son, made of a woman...” Galatians 4:4 At conception: eternity and time became one. In the womb: the Son of God and the Son of man became one. At birth: a man who is also God was now in a position to challenge death face to face, and the place for that encounter was a hill called Calvary. Golgotha was its name. That day, nailed to a cross; as the “Son of man be lifted up”: what couldn’t die, died. Time took eternity into death itself. Death engulfed eternity. Death consumed that body there on the cross. Being one: when one dies, both die. As the Son of man died; so too, the Son of God died: Likewise, as the Son of God was raised from the dead; so too was the Son of man raised: His name is Jesus. Thus: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 1 Corinthians 15:54

About the Book
It’s not enough to know God’s will for our lives. We are to walk out God’s will with His will, and this only comes through a journey Beyond Obedience. Jim and Lynda take us on that journey through scriptures by way of the cross through the Garden of Gethsemane until we are able to surrender our will to His, and in this journey we find that to surrender is to have nothing so we can have everything, and to be who we want to be comes from who we are not.

Jim, a widower, from the mountains of North Carolina; to the halls of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; then by way of a lifetime of preaching and teaching in the streets and jails; is now coming face to face with the one he has sought all these eighty four years.
