“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understand, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”
Philippians 4:7 ESV
It’s been almost 8 years since we were awakened by the banging on our front door and the police delivering news that no parent ever expects to hear.
BUT GOD…
All that day, we experienced firsthand the power of a loving compassionate comforting Father who showered us with peace at that moment and all throughout the day - the kind of peace that is beyond human understanding.
As we clung to each other, we felt the power of the God we serve come over us, like a shield of protection, saturating our minds and hearts, and we knew that we could face whatever was to be.
We learned that day that there is no end to Gods compassion and comfort.
Our daughter went to be with Jesus that day.
Our prayer was “Your will Lord” and as hard as it was to utter those words, we had a church family that surrounded us with love, we felt their prayers as they comforted us. Yes, our days are hard, we miss our Mo, but our “Mo story” is still being used for Gods glory today.
If you are brokenhearted and full of sorrow, claim the truth of the following verse today and know the comfort of our God.
“We thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because he is so good to us. As our Father, he is very kind to us. He is our God who comforts us in every way. Whenever we have trouble, he comforts us. Because of that, we ourselves can comfort other people. When they have any kind of trouble, we can comfort them, in the same way that God has comforted us. Christ himself received much pain, and God comforted him. As Christ's servants, we also receive the same kind of pain. But God also comforts us very much, because we belong to Christ.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 EASY
