Modern-Day Miracles

WITH A DROP OF A DIME Parking my car at the space in front of the Well Fargo Bank, I opened my purse, reached for and opened my wallet then the fold, when my eyes fell on the empty rectangular bank card envelope holder. My heart sank and my stomach did a flip. My mind immediately began racing in full throttle. “Ok, where have I been between the last time I used my bank card which it had held its contents was empty. My mind immediately began racing in full throttle. “OK, where have I been between the last time I used my bank card, and now?” I asked myself. “It could be anywhere,” I continued. “Father, please help me find my bank card,” I cried. I have to be at work in an hour. I don’t want to call in and tell my client that I’m going to be late. You know where it is, please help me, in Jesus's name.” Before starting the engine in preparation to head back home to check pockets of pants and peruse through other purses, my almost teary eyes fell upon a dime between the driver's seat and the divide between the driver and front passenger’s seat. “Pick up the dime.” I heard the Holy Spirit tell me. “What is a dime going to do to help me? I need more than a dime?” I questioned. I attempted to slide my fingers down the side on my seat, but the space was too narrow, and my hand was so tight in the space, I feared it might get stuck if I persisted. Not being able to reach for the coin this way, the only other option was to exit the car and open the passenger door and get under the driver’s seat via the passenger’s floor area. I sat in the driver’s seat momentarily and contemplated whether I should pick it right then and there or pick it up later the day after I found my bank card. “I can’t let this distract me, I need to stay focused on the issue at hand and continue the search for my bank card.” “Pick up the dime now.” I heard and felt a strong impression in my spirit. “Ok.” I answered. I swung the driver's door open and opened the back passenger door. I hurriedly reached the area where I had seen the fallen coin and there in front of the dime from the rear position was the bank card. I screamed with glee. “Oh, Father, thank you so much! Thank you very much! You are an Awesome God! You are a GOOD GOD!” If I hadn't been immediately obedient, I would have spent the whole day looking for something that was readily available to me. I would have gone on a goose chase for nothing. What seemed senseless to me was the very answer to my problem. If I had done what appeared to make the most sense; back track my steps, I still would not have found what I was looking for. Oh, what a serious lesson to learn! For my thoughts are not your thoughts; neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
