28 February Satan’s Tactics “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” Eph 6:11 Satan will transform himself to deceive us, “Therefore, it is no great thing if his (Satan’s) ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness” 2 Cor 11:15a. Satan will transform as an apostle of Christ to deceive us, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ” 2 Cor 11:13. Satan will transform as an angel of light to deceive us, “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light” 2 Cor 11:14. We need to be aware of Satan’s tactics, “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices” 2 Cor 2:11. The world would be a better place if we would question the lies of Satan like we question the love of God. I praise God that Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” 1 John 3:8b. I pray that we will not be deceived by Satan and his demons (James 4:7). Too many churches have taught people that if they find it hard that means that they do not have enough faith. And that is just not true. Some of the greatest testimonies of faith have come from people going through a very hard trial. The title, “Why is Christianity so Hard?” came from a trial where I was crying out to God. This same thought kept running through my mind: Why is it so hard? God was giving me the title and a mission to reach those who were struggling with following Him. Why is Christianity so hard for you? What is keeping you from a relationship with Jesus Christ? What do you find that is difficult to accept? This book addresses the topics that keep people from living through and with Jesus Christ the way He meant it to be lived. Each devotional encourages the reader that God will see them through any hardships that are facing. The topics covered in these devotionals may not be an issue for some people, but someone is unable to get past it. Whatever they find hard is keeping them from moving forward or maturing in their faith. Please listen to those that God brings your way. They will tell you what they find hard. We ought to tell them what the Word of God has to say about their hardship. “You must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” 2 Timothy 2:3 (NKJV). Worth every step, but not easy!
