About the Book
As women living in a crazy world, we wear a lot of hats and spin a lot of plates, all with relative success! However, there are times when we get hit by a storm we weren’t expecting. They seem to come out of nowhere and completely overwhelm us. Suddenly, our sunny day turns dark, our boat capsizes, and we’re left struggling to keep our heads above water. Do we have to sink beneath the waves, or is it possible to rise above them? The Apostle Paul knew a secret—a secret on how to live life above his circumstances and with joy! In the book of Philippians, he shares his secret with us on how to live above our circumstances, rather than sinking beneath them. He gives us the practical tools we need to correct our perspective, to think more like Christ, to control our emotions, and to walk in obedience to the Lord. Sometimes, life throws a curve ball that hits us on the blind side. Don’t let it knock you down. Don’t let it sidetrack you from doing what God has called you to do. If you have been hit by circumstances that are over your head, remember this: what is over your head is under His feet. Trust Him with your circumstances, and focus on what He’s asked you to do.
