About the Book

People share characteristics with creatures that are otherwise very different from us. Instead of proving we have a common ancestor, this reality shows we have a common creator. For instance: • God made people like lions—male lions grow beards; • God made people like horses, which grow long hair on their head; • God made people like beavers, which cut down trees and build dams; • God made people like spiders, which build nets to catch food; • God made people like Himself—the Lord is always imagining and creating many things! You may notice that none of the characteristics above, or any of the other traits highlighted in this book, are characteristics humans share with monkeys or apes. They do not sing, build dams, or make much of anything. Recognizing God as our creator is foundational to living by His laws, which help us grow physically and spiritually.
