eople, people, people. I have always been thankful for the opportunities I have had in this life to serve people in my nineteenth country; Tanzania. I am in Mwanza, sick. My bowels are at ease. My stomach has decided to change all the food in my belly into liquid, and is getting refreshed when it is passed on with an urgency that requires me to befriend the toilets of Mwanza. Throwing up is so devastating. Whether it is a bacterial infection or a viral flue, I hope my stomach will be at rest by the time I am supposed to speak to people, tomorrow. Let me blame the little pie I took in the plane, the dawa za kienyeji I sipped to cleanse my blood; which your mum has always warned me about and I also blame the raw “wiu” fish that I enjoyed yesterday at ‘Mama samaki’, in Ruai market.
