THE DISPARITY

The theme/argument is based on twelve propositions: Proposition number 1- There are inescapable, revelatory portraits of the gospel from the Old Testament. Proposition number 2- The gospel is effectuated and consummated in the New Testament. Proposition[JB1.1] number 3- The bible is fraught with instances of mankind’s failure (his infidelity to and disregard for God’s standards, both individually and collectively). Proposition number 4- According to the bible, not all persons who claim to be disciples of Christ have eternal life and will enjoy the ‘not yet’ kingdom of God. Proposition number 5- In the current post truth era, western Christianity has not won the world to the cause or teachings of Jesus Christ; decidedly misguided in its notion of the existence of a Christian nation. Proposition number 6- The visible and local ‘church’ of modern western culture has (with some exceptions) confounded Old Testament traditions, especially in the Torah, with biblical New Testament churches. Proposition number 7- The Roman Catholic system has moved away from the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ with several heretical doctrines; some considered. Proposition number 8- The God of the Bible exists as the only true and living God; and science has not rebuffed the claims of the bible or invalidated its reliability and veracity. Proposition number 9- The claims of biblical Christianity are not discerned by natural man but only through an enlightened benefit: the gift of the Holy Spirit received by the true believer. Proposition number 10- Hell is real. Proposition number 11- ‘Societal’ standards for professing Christendom, in the interest of tolerance and culturally acceptable decorum, is not the biblical design but has become an infectious deception. Proposition number 12- The God of the bible is love.
