As I sank my limp body into the over sized sofa, my friends gathered around me. In total shock I shook my head with disbelief. “How could this happen? Why is this happening? This is not what this trip was supposed to be about.” Soon my feelings became bitter. I felt such hatred, such disgust; I felt a sense of revenge within myself.
As I looked toward my mom, I couldn’t comprehend this feeling I was holding deep within my heart, mom sat on the floor crying and screaming out “NO! NO! NO! Frank come home, NO! NO! NO!” While she was rocking back and forth with the towel still clutched in her hand. I could see that her knuckles were turning white as white could possibly be.

Jesus, you have been my cornerstone through it all. With every step I take, and with every breath I breathe you have guided my way. When I thought all was lost, there you were to show me that I am not alone. As I look into the mirror, I want to see you.
