If you're holding this book, you probably know what ashes taste like. The gritty residue of a dream that burned to the ground. The hollow ache of a heart that's been through the fire. Maybe you have felt lost in a prison of self-doubt, mastering the art of smiling while still tasting the ashes of your failures.
I have sat where you sit. I have known the feeling of being so out of step with grace that I wondered if God could still hear me. The questions that haunted my darkest nights: Am I still worthy? Can I even come to the table?
This book is the answer.

From the Author's Thought
God never sees us as our ashes. He sees the beloved child He created. While we stare at the wreckage, convinced we are unworthy of repair, He is already rolling up His sleeves. He reached into my prison and did the impossible: He poured His healing love into me.
And He led me to a place I never dreamed I could belong: His table.
Here, your name isn't "Failure" or "Unworthy." It's written on your seat: Beloved. Forgiven. Child. Heir.

What Awaits You Inside
From Ashes to the Table walks with you through the landscapes of despair—apathy, fear, anger, exhaustion, cynicism, false responsibility, and shame—and leads you to the table where the Father waits.
Chapter 1: The Reality of Our Ashes confronts brokenness with honest hope. The journey to wholeness does not bypass the valley of despair; it goes directly through it.
Chapter 3: The Lies That Bind examines the cynicism that shrinks hope, the false responsibility that crushes souls, and the shame that defines identity. It distinguishes conviction that leads to life from condemnation that leads to death.
Chapter 12: Beauty for Ashes unveils God's redemptive vision through Kintsugi—the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, making fractures the most beautiful part. Our brokenness, healed by Christ's grace, becomes the central feature of our testimony.
Chapter 20: The New Hope That Animates Us explores the blessed hope of Christ's return—the anchor that holds us steady and the destination that makes the pilgrimage meaningful.
Chapter 23: The Destination That Draws Us brings us finally to the table, where we hear: "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you."

A Glimpse from Chapter 12
The divine exchange of beauty for ashes leaves visible marks of grace. God integrates our history of fracture into a narrative of redemption. The ancient art of Kintsugi—"golden joinery"—repairs broken pottery with gold, making fractures the most captivating feature.
This mirrors Christ's work. Jesus does not erase our past. The scars remain, infused with His glory. The lines along which we broke become channels through which His light shines. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV).

At the Table
The journey ends where it began: in the all-sufficient grace of God. You begin by faith, and you will finish by faith. Run with perseverance the race marked out for you. Run toward the embrace that has awaited you since before the foundation of the world.
The light is on. The door is unlocked. Your Father is waiting.
