My Rainbow Moment I was sitting at my table Calmly thinking, pen in hand When a rainbow through the window Gently drew a color band It danced across my paper Softly landing on the wall Stirring in me, an awareness Of the beauty of it all As the Sun lights up a pathway Through the branches of the trees How the leaves will swoosh and shudder As they tremble in the breeze And the glimmer on the water That the moon casts every night There's a certain kind of silence That makes all the world seem right It is in these rainbow moments I begin to understand That the Earth resembles Heaven In the sky, the sea, the land And the golden glow of sunlight Through the rain, that strikes a bow Is a comforting reminder Of Gods promise long ago What He spoke will still continue Here below and there above And the rainbow's a reminder Of His never ending love Mary Barry
