In The Spot Light Mysteries

One cold winter day in downtown New York City, a famous pop-singer, Summer Spears, rode in the backseat of her black limo. She was heading to the dinner prepared by her family for her sweet sixteenth birthday. Summer’s brunette shoulder length hair was streaked with blue, which was her favorite color. Her big brown eyes caught her reflection in the window as her phone rang. Her cocky manager, Chris, announced, “Hi Summer! I have the job you have been waiting for. You have been offered to sing your song Lovely in Paris in the new movie The City of Lights. If you accept, you would have to catch a flight early in the morning.”Summer was thrilled at the opportunity to travel to Paris, France and quickly accepted the offer. The limousine driver proceeded to her home, behind the scenes, her manager booked an early flight for her to Paris and cancelled all her current plans for the week. He also purchased a five star hotel room in Paris. Summer, who knew her manager would handle all the details, immediately thought of her family and called her sister, Carrie. The phone rang, then went straight to voicemail. Leaving a brief message about her upcoming travels, she ended letting her sister know she loved her and would see her soon. Arriving home to a pastel yellow house with white front door, brown roof and shutters. In the front yard were two wooden swings tied to a tall oak tree, which Summer loves to go sit down on the smooth wooden swing, to clear her head in the evenings by feeling the cold breeze against her face and watch the twinkling stars above in the majestic royal blue sky. She was surprised to see a colorful handmade birthday banner hanging on the outside of the front door, hopping out of the parked limo, she was greeted with loud birthday wishes and cheers from her parents, two close friends and her sisters, who had been anxiously awaiting her arrival.
