The Adventures of FAITH

Faith stood up. “Okay, let’s do “this.” She walked over to Johnny, “we need your help Johnny.” He took his chin back off his knees and cocked his head to the side. “How?” She squatted down again. “We can’t go down, we gotta jump. We need someone to show us how to do it.” He looked at her, “You just walk over to the edge and jump.” She looked over to the edge, “Yeah but we don’t know how to stand or anything and Suzie’s really scared.” Faith looked at him, “I am too Johnny, we really need your help…please Johnny.” He looked back and forth between Faith and Suzie. Suzie, who was still idly rubbing the grass with her foot, stopped, and looked up at him hopefully. Faith stood back up and held her hand out. “Come on Johnny, we need your help.” He looked at her apprehensively, then setting his jaw he grabbed her hand. “Okay, I’ll show you.”
