As we have discussed in the previous chapter, because of woman’s sin, the Lord God declared the best way to deal with the woman being deceived and potentially destroying her own house---was that the man should rule over the woman. [Note: This is referring to the relationship between husband and wife.] Some may see this as a curse and perpetual punishment for women---I see it as a loving, gracious, all-knowing Heavenly Father God providing a ‘boundary’ to help his daughters not hurt themselves or the ones we love. He knows the power of persuasion that a woman has, and he told the woman that from now on, He wants the man to rule over her. He wants the man to take authority over his house and family and not allow the woman to run the house or dictate what the family should do. This doesn’t mean the woman cannot express her concerns or ask questions or even make suggestions about things that matter to her regarding the family. But it does mean that God is expecting the man to have the final say and for the wife to submit to the husband’s decision as unto the Lord. In other words, as long as the man’s decision does not violate God’s words or commandments, the wife must submit to the husband’s decision. And if, for the sake of argument, the wife is concerned that the husband is making a bad decision from her point of view---one that is not violating any of God’s words or commandments---she can always talk to God, her Heavenly Father, about the situation. Earnest prayer to God is more beneficial for the wife and family then if the wife takes matters into her own hands. When she casts her cares upon God, she gives Him the opportunity to do what only He can do (1 Peter 5:7). And who knows, the husband may change his mind and see that the wife’s ‘suggestion’ may be the best way to deal with the situation. Otherwise, as a dear daughter of the most, High God---who knows her Father God loves her very much---she will trust in her Heavenly Father, knowing that everything will work for good. However, we see examples, throughout the Bible, of women who gave into the lie of the enemy that the Lord God is holding out on us. That God didn’t really mean that the husband should rule over the wife. Surely, the wife should be able to make decisions for her family, too. She does have a unique insight to offer. Yes, the wife may have a unique insight to offer, but if that insight is not in line with God’s commandments, that wife may inadvertently bring trouble to her own house. In 1 Timothy 2:11-14, the word of God instructs the woman to learn in silence and not to teach or usurp authority over the man. Why? Because Adam was first formed, then Eve. AND Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived.

About the Book
There seems to be an orchestrated push for women to be in leadership in every facet of society---even the church. And if any man speaks against a woman’s desire to have the same positions that men have held for years---that man is labelled a ‘narcissist’. Unfortunately, there are many men that would rather keep their jobs or ministries by ‘succumbing’ to this ungodly ideology than to contend for the faith and be ‘cancelled’ by the masses. Men who are purposely pushing this agenda under the guise of ‘grace’ ---turning the ‘grace’ of God into a license to do whatever they please. (Jude 3 and 4) Now I am not saying that a woman can’t teach or preach God’s word, but I am saying God has guidelines for how this should be done. He doesn’t want woman to ‘usurp’ authority over man. In the Bible, God established man as the leader---in the family, government, and church. And if that is what God sees as best---shouldn’t we agree with Him? My prayer is that this book encourages women to see God’s commandments as the ‘laws’ of a loving, Heavenly Father. That we trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean to our own understanding. That we don’t heed to the lies of the enemy that are saturating our society, churches, and families. And finally, that we’ll prayerfully stand in the gap for our families, churches, and cities by surrendering to God and His ways.
About the Author
Raquel Russell is the eldest daughter of Bishop Nathaniel Spease Jr. and his late wife Linda. Growing up as a preacher’s kid, she had many opportunities to see and experience the truth of God’s Word. She saw firsthand the benefits of following God, keeping His Word, and being able to experience the Lord’s goodness in her own life as she grew in faith and service to Him. Raquel has been married to Bishop Dexter D. Russell Sr. for more than thirty-eight years and has six adult children and one granddaughter. She enjoys teaching and encouraging women to do things God’s way and experience the life He has already planned for them. Raquel believes that if women will get back to doing things God’s way, it will ultimately strengthen families, churches, and communities. It is her desire to help women trust God’s love, give the reins to Him, and truly commit to trusting His ways, His timing, and His plan.
