A Message of Hope
God in the flesh, He came to save
For you and me His life He gave
So we could know peace and have hope
When we’re at the end of our rope
He lived life true but died in shame
So we could know God just the same
As the Son and Father are one
And for us the battle He won!
I have hope for my tomorrow
He gave me joy for my sorrow
He gave me life that’s worth living
Blessings that He keeps on giving
Because He lives I can face all
With courage to stay strong, stand tall
I can give hope, share the good news
To those who are down with the blues
From death to life He came back here
So we could know life without fear
And have hope for others to see
Salvation is for you and me
So we can tell them the good news
Better than all other world views
It’s a message of hope and grace
For now and for leaving this place
We too can have hope because we have the grace, protection and provision of God. And we have hope in the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. We have the blessed assurance that because He lives, we can face tomorrow. Our hope eternal is external to us, so we can rest in the accomplished work of God.
Having lost hope in the past on a personal level, I can attest to how important it is. I’m also a living testament as to refocusing on my God instead of my problems, restoring hope, faith and peace in my life. Sadly, too many lose hope without a vision for continuing and even thriving. Don’t give up and don’t lose hope. Cry out to God, who hears you and who will restore all that this world has taken from you.
Lord of Truth, You Set Us Free
Jesus is the way of love
Jesus is the truth above
Jesus is the life and plea
Lord of truth, you set us free
He leads us to live with him
A choice to make, not a whim
Promised us eternity
Heaven’s beauty we will see
Follow Him, follow the Way
Gift of God’s grace helps us say
You are truth Lord and my rock
Worth more than gold, cash or stock
You are truth Lord this I know
The bible said it is so
You are light and life and grace
Lead us to go from this place
To spread truth for all to see
The Father is one with thee
And spirit that we can’t touch
To know that you cared so much
Your love so deep you dared die
For us in our sin we cry
You filled our hearts – love came true
You made us whole and brand new
You are light and life and peace
All our doubts and fears can cease
You are God – you set me free
Saw my sin yet came to me
You pulled me up, saved my soul
Took the chards and made me whole
Now my cup it overflows
You live in me - hope it shows
Truth is what you are dear Lord
We are all of one accord
Truth the whole world needs to see
Then they too can be set free
We may take our physical freedom for granted because we live in America. However, we can be physically free but be trapped in patterns of negative thought or unhealthy behavior. As a result, we can be in a form of bondage. Whether it’s wrong thinking, listening to false teaching, being enslaved to sinful behavior or emotional bondage, all these things damage our relationship with God. They can be obstacles to living free. The good news is that in Jesus, there is hope. He promised, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Christ has the power to break the chains holding us captive.
In a time where facts are no longer universally accepted, God’s truth is as unchanging as He is. Jesus is the way. Accept that as truth and you’ll never be the same.
