“Lucius, we are getting ready for Halloween. Are you going trick-or-treating with us?” the children asked. Lucius did not know. He had to ask his parents if it would be OK. Lucius had not been out on Halloween before. His parents had said that he was too young. Lucius remembered how they went shopping for candy to give to the trick-or-treaters.
On Halloween night, he would wait excitedly to hear someone knock on the door and yell, “Trick or Treat.” Mom had placed a basket of candy on a table near the door. His Mom would open the door, and Lucius would hide behind her. If the visitors looked really ugly or scary, Lucius would do something strange. Read the book to find out about what happened.
