When Heaven and Earth Intersect

By divine power, Mary’s womb received and grew a new life up to the moment baby Jesus gasps His first breath on planet earth. Such a miracle has never happened again. Picture an author who writes a story that is bestseller-worthy. The riveting story grabs the reader’s attention with every exciting detail. Now, picture that same writer steps into the book, becoming part of the very story he wrote. The author used materials that only he could use and placed himself into the story. It is unimaginable, yet this is what God did through the virgin birth. God, the Creator, wrote the story of the universe, but humankind became lost and needed to be rescued. To save His people, God bypassed human reproduction to enter His Creation by the power of the Holy Spirit. He became fully present within the “pages” of humanity while still fully God. This miracle was not just about divine power; it was about fulfilling God’s promise to send a Messiah who does not have the inherited nature of sin. God, the Architect, used a special way to bring forth His Son, in a manner that could reflect only Him. Hence, the beginning and birth of Jesus, conceived by God but born of a woman, is the moment heaven and earth intersect to save humanity. God entered His universe, and this reality should invite us to recognize His power and His love for us. He is willing to step into your world to save and restore your life. In the same breath, just as God brought life into Mary’s womb in a supernatural way, He can bring life and hope into your situations that feel impossible.
