Seasons and Times

I was thrown out of the nest by my spiritual mother. She was ready for full retirement after all our years of travel, and thought it was Time for me to walk on my own two feet. So began the LORD’s Day alone, without the tower of wise strength by my side; and yet, the awareness that He had been with us every Time before, and was with me that day while alone, yet not alone. A church in Virginia was in conflict: members against members – old ways verse new ways. What could I do for them during this day of retreat without my wise teacher, advisor? The Rector was seeking help. My suggestion was for he and I to pray before beginning the day's event. The thought came to mind of body, soul, spirit. The Trinity is Three in One: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. GOD made man to be three in one: the body of outward flesh and bone; the soul of personality, mind, thoughts; the spirit which comes to like when Jesus, the Son of GOD, is accepted as Lord and Savior, and we are born again. Therefore when the day began, I introduced myself to the group as: Three in One; in body the outward being, I am Liturgical, because of love of the ancient liturgy similar to the church of Jerusalem 2000 years ago., filled with incense and song. I am Evangelical, because of the training of my mind before, during, and after seminary in the Words of our LORD. I am Charismatic, for I have been born again as Jesus described to Nicodemus. If I being one person at peace with these three understandings of the Trinity within myself; can we not be at peace within the church with the different gifts that GOD alone offers? The beautiful ancient liturgy sung and spoken, the evangelical study of the Word of GOD, and the gift of the Holy Spirit explained to Nicodemus; all grants us the fullness that Jesus has for the church.
