Here is the Big Question: Is God good? I mean, really? Is God good? Is He good all the time? Have you ever been caught off guard? Wondered, "what just happened?" "Why did it happen?" "Does God even care? Does He love me? Is He good?" "And what do I do now?" For a year I've been left pondering what I'm supposed to do now. I'm not sure what God has done or why. Not sure where He wants me. Not sure how to bloom where I'm currently planted. Depressed some days, doing what I like to call "stinking thinking" some days. Other days I'm standing firm on Jesus- my rock and fortress. Crying some, sad some, mad, joyful (well...trying to be). Really I'm in limbo- stuck, not sure who I am or what my purpose is. Just two weeks before my world came crashing, I had put up a new sign on the property. It said "I can't...but I know a Guy," followed by a verse "Trust in the Lord with all your heart," (Proverbs 3:5). God now gave me an opportunity to show if I really believed that or not. We might go through life never understanding why certain things happen or don't happen as they do. But whatever God's reasons, He has our best interest in mind. He loves us- He is a good God. Knowing that lets us fall back on Him and trust Him whether it feels good or bad. When really bad things happen, He's still a good God, and that means everything will be okay. One day! One day? So I ask: Is God good? All the bad times and hard times we go through- would a good God do that? And is he really good all the time?

Amy Lynn Krueger is a wife, mom, and grandma (affectionately known as “Amma” by her grandkids) who resides in central Florida with her husband and best friend Jamie. She has one son, Michael (and his wife, Kristen) and six grandchildren who are the light of her life. Amy enjoys traveling with her husband. Kayaking, scuba diving, caving, and studying God’s word are her passions. Although she has struggled with physical health challenges and life’s unexpected turns, she is passionate about making sure God is glorified in both the good and bad times.
