I’ve watched all the episodes of Gilmore Girls on TV multiple times. I’ve enjoyed seeing Jennifer Lopez play the pretty and practical hotel maid in the movie, Maid in Manhattan at least three times. Although entertaining, those tales are nothing like my life as a maid. The biggest difference between my life and those two characters is that they did that job with aspirations of better days ahead. But once I started changing beds and cleaning rooms in coastal towns, I would have gladly done those jobs for the rest of my life.
My travels have taken me from Tijuana, Mexico, into San Diego, California, then up the coast to Cannon Beach, Oregon, and even landed me on the rocky coastline of southern Maine. I hope to forget the beginning journey.
There is no documentation of my life until just before I travelled to Cannon Beach. I am told I was brought across the border from Tijuana and placed into a family that owned me. I do not know how they came to have possession of my life as I was likely just a toddler.

Feeling blessed with a vivid imagination, she feels a close kinship with her characters and hopes readers do, too.
