Crumbs Matthew 15:21-28 Lord, You are so far away, And closer to You I beg to be, But those who know you say, “The Master is busy, can’t you see?” Lord, my burden is so great. I am alone to care for my own. It’s too heavy; it’s such a weight. In my spirit I ominously groan. I don’t dare stop pleading. Lord, I worship You. Please help! Divine mercy from You I’m needing. All of my concerns to You I’ll tell. Yes, I’m like a dog undeserving. Truth, Lord, you are so right. Turmoil in my heart is churning. You’re the only way for help in sight. I don’t need much, just crumbs. Whatever small thing You can spare. Doesn’t need to be a large sum. Oh, Lord, I do trust that You care! So as those crumbs fall purposefully I’ll take them in with my hands. His plan now played out wonderfully I know my Lord always understands. Crumbs were all I needed For the devil’s demise to end. Lord, thank You. My utterance You heeded. To me those little pieces You did lend. My loved one for whom I interceded Is now whole and complete by Your Grace. Providential help to me for them deeded Because You let me speak to You face to Face. Balm For The Wounded Soul Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Trying to catch a breath. No rest for the weary to find. No end in sight for this test. Life’s mill keeps me in its grind. Sinicism seems to be my friend. A calloused back is a dreadful sight. From many a time being stabbed. Knives of slander are my plight. Questions and doubts swirl the mind. Wondering how long my soul will bleed. The salve of protection is so hard to find. For many are ignorant of my need. Just for the reprieve of understanding Is such an incredible rarity. For others piety is so demanding They truly mimic the Pharisee. Holding stones to piously condemn You must have done something wrong. You’re just one of “those” women. Chants the Pharisaical throng. That burden is so heavy to bear For no human being could carry. Unreasonable demands DO NOT share Falling under that ashened load is scary. Crushed beneath the load unforgiving Is such a deafening darkness. Its weight mercilessly, painfully increasing. Forget about any kind of forgiveness. My hope was found on my knees. God’s heart always listening. For all my crazy pain HE sees. HIS grace around me then glistening. HE silenced the enemy’s scorn By HIS blessing graciously granted. Their brutal slander HE made their thorns. Hearing HIS loving Voice, I was enchanted. “I AM here,” HE so strongly insisted, “You must know, daughter, I do care. Their gruesome pride I have resisted, But I will answer your tearful prayers.” “I know their deeds of malicious deceit. You do forbear them with no pay back. Keep your heart tender, kind and sweet. Your cup will be running over, without lack.” The envious by GOD were put to shame. All I needed was quiet and restful trust. Their own slander was really to blame. Their words corrupted and turned to rust. HIS goodness and mercy truly followed me, Healing me through all of my living days. HIS honor and favor nourish continually. My Father has straightened all my ways. Keep trusting for only One is truly true. We are all sinners needing those mercies new. Many are called, but be one of those chosen few. How the ashes would turn to beauty, HE KNEW. SO KEEP DEPENDING ON JESUS; FOR “VERILY” HE LOVES YOU!
