Being a Nurse In a very complicated world From a Christian Perspective

I have always wanted to write a journal about my nursing career. It has been rich and full of memories both good and bad. As I sit down and write this story I think about so many things I remember when I’m “on the run”; then, when I sit down my mind is blank. My beginnings: Memories of first clinic job and move from Oklahoma to Washington State. If anyone would have told me in high school that I was going to be a nurse I would have laughed, as I bombed biology! I had no interest in the study of living organisms in the dirt, learn about their physiology nor how they were a part of “evolution” as their origin. Furthermore, I never could agree that a human being evolved from fish, or lower animal forms. I remember in lab class the little worm that we cut off the head and it grew a new head. Later in life, as a Christian, I became fascinated about microbiology, physiology of the cell, parts of the cell, how all parts made a whole, living, created human being. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. God is an awesome designer. Genesis 1:27 notes that God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them. The bible tells us that God created man on the final day of the creation week before he rested. He had already created earth and heaven. God made the wild animals according to their kind, he made them all. Man was to rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. I never get tired of reading the accounts of creation. On my bucket list is to go to several Creation Science Museums. There are many Christian Scientists that have become heroes of faith and science, inspiring a new generation of Christians to get involved in God’s beautiful creation.
