It was the end of the day and time for the tub,
Luca played in the bubbles, so no need to scrub.

Mama looked over and said with a snap, “Don’t forget to wash your face, neck, and back!”
Looking up at her, thinking, what the heck, how would dirt even get on my neck?

His parents, exhausted from a long, busy day, exclaimed, “Get in bed. No excuses, and no time for play.”
Mama muttered some words to Dad with a sigh.
“Your turn to tuck in, I did last night.”

A short bedtime story and tucked tightly in. “Leave the door open”, Luca said with a grin.
With a kiss on the cheek, Dad left it open a peek, stepping over the part of the floor with the creak.

About the Book
A rhyming story of a boy named Luca, who is full of energy and imagination. Stalling during his bedtime routine, trying to squeeze in just a few more minutes of his day, his exhausted father finds the opportunity and darts out his bedroom door, with a loving goodnight. As Luca drifts off to sleep, he is suddenly awakened by a low rumble of a grumble. Is it a beast? Facing his fears and finding courage, Luca jumps out of bed with his flashlight and tries to reason with this beast as it scampers and hides all around his bedroom. The beast wishes to be left alone, but Luca doesn’t give up. After realizing things weren’t what they seemed, Luca turns his pursuit into a friendly greeting and meets the creature with grace and love.
