Life is a journey. Faith guides our lives and brings value. What could be greater than a faith that promises love, compassion, forgiveness, and eternal life?

Mary Zealand, a retired pediatrician and recently ordained minister, chronicles her life from early childhood to senior adulthood while sharing scripture, reflection questions, and the lessons she has learned. Beginning with her earliest memories, she leads others through her unique personal experiences that have included family divorce and death, becoming a mother of three with pregnancy complications, a calling to medicine when women were marching for equal rights, and life in retirement with a new purpose in ministry. After telling her story, Zealand shares other thoughts and beliefs that include messages from her sermons as well as observations from life.

"What's Next?" shares an uplifting glimpse into an ordained minister's personal faith journey and will inspire others to strengthen their relationship with God.

About the Author

Mary Zealand is a retired pediatrician and recently ordained protestant minister who has felt the presence of the Lord for as long as she can remember. She and her husband have been married for nearly sixty years. They have three children and nine grandchildren. Zealand enjoys family, Church, physical activity, music, and giving to those less fortunate. Her trust is in the Lord!
