About the Book
Come join the fun as you read the account of one young girl’s escapades while learning how to live her life with autism. Ruthie McQuilty is a real girl who experienced these events and many more. Everything is a puzzle to her, so it’s a good thing Ruthie loves to solve puzzles. Her thinking is never linear but is fantastically inventive and sometimes shocking to the adults around her. On her journey, Ruthie has been greatly loved and well guided by her parents, her brother, her therapist, a loving teacher, her principal, and so many more, like the FORs (Friends of Ruthie) and MorMor Poopsie. Her road is neither straight nor easy, but Ruthie perseveres and always does so in her own unique way. This book will tickle your funny bone as well as give you an insight into what goes on in the mind of one little girl. Ruthie is determined to try and live in the outside world and risk coming out of Ruthie’s safe inside world; watch her do it! This book is dedicated to all those who love and care for children with autism. Happy reading!
