Are You Seeking?
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
A famous pastor once said, “Faith is acting like God is telling the truth.” Have you ever played the “What If” game in your head? What if I die before I finish school? What if I never find the love of my life? What if…. It can make you panic and begin to worry about something that will never be. You begin to let your thoughts become your truth.
With faith, the Holy Bible is your truth. God said it, and it’s true; all of it; every word from Genesis to Revelation, the good, the bad, and the ugly. God said He spoke the world into being. It’s true. God said He loved the world so much that He gave up His only begotten Son. It’s true. God said that He’s sending His Son back again to get His children. It’s true. And God said He will destroy Satan, this world, and all those who rejected His Son, with fire. It’s true.
He who comes to God must believe that He exists. We can’t run to Him out od fear hoping that we’re on the winning side. We must believe that God is really real, and that His Word is really true. We can know that He is, if we search for Him with our whole heart. Get serious about your searching. Like the Christmas card says, “Wise men still seek Him.”
Can you hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to you? Talk to God about it.
