I could try to recount all that happened after receiving the text message that day. But that is not the purpose of this book. The purpose of this book is to tell how God lovingly walked me through the most difficult time of my life, and to share the active steps I was able to make with His help, to climb out of that place of deep sorrow. Whether you are walking through a hard divorce, a devasting diagnosis, or the loss of a loved one, grief is still grief, and the words in the following chapters are the words God put in my heart. The things He spoke to me and showed me that helped to pull me out of the trenches. They are from Him to me, and now, I am sharing them with you. Because while He might allow us to find ourselves in those dark places for a time of growth, it is never His intent for us to stay there.

About the Book
Raised as a Southern Baptist, Nora Grant learned early in her life to love God. As she matured and entered college, she eventually traveled to Belize on a mission trip. There she met and fell in love with Daniel, another intern serving the Lord through mission work, and they were married within a few months. Nora Grant survived nearly three decades in an abusive marriage and fourteen years in a controlling cult. After facing spiritual warfare almost daily, her trials strengthened her faith, refined her spirit, and drew her into an unshakable walk with the Lord, who became her strength, refuge, and ultimate healer. As for Me is her first book.
