OWNING THE STRUGGLE OF ANGER
W
hat makes you angry? What makes you feel that you are in a conflict? Is it when someone steals from you? Lies on you? Disrespects you? Abuses you? All of these and more can throw us into a desire to battle.
There may be a desire to go to battle for yourself or for other women when we know that they are not capable of protecting themselves. Women are being trafficked, battered, medically ignored, starved, sexually assaulted, even sold as slaves! The physical, mental, and emotional abuse may traumatize them for the rest of their lives.
In Ephesians 6:12-17, we are told that we are not fighting against people but against evil spirits of the unseen world. No matter how intense it is, no matter how long it has been brewing, we cannot allow ourselves to be controlled by our anger. What we must do is get out of the way and let God’s army go to war for us!
Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

SEEKING GOD FOR CALMNESS
Jehovah Sabaoth
I
n the sixth chapter of Second Kings, the king of Aram was warring against Israel. With the help of Elisha, the prophet, each time the Aramean king made a move to go fight the Israelites, he couldn’t find them! The Aramean king decided to send out spies to find Elisha and the king of Israel.
When the morning came, the Aramean army surrounded Elisha! Elisha’s servant was terrified, but he told his servant not to worry because Jehovah Sabaoth was with them. The Lord opened the servant’s eyes and when he looked up, he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire that were surrounding the Israelites! Jehovah-Sabaoth sent an Angel Army to fight for them!
The enemy will try to come upon women through our finances, our jobs, our families, and even our bodies. But Jehovah Sabaoth goes to war on our behalf in every kind of situation!
O Lord of Hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Psalm 84:12
REFLECTION
M
ay I share with you an exercise that was successful for me?
I wrote down those challenges that I really wanted to eliminate. Then, I tore up the paper!! I discovered that it was of no use to me and that the only way these problems would be eliminated is if Sabaoth stepped in! I gave it serious thought and decided to create a “War Room.” That’s right! Just like the movie! I created a private space where I can go to communicate with God and ask Him to war these battles for me going forward.
Do not rely on your working plan of action. Call on Sabaoth to fight your battles. May I invite you to consider developing one here? As women, we need a plan. Sabaoth, the Captain of our personal Angel Army, will cover us on that path that leads to our purpose.
JEHOVAH SABAOTH PRAYER
Jehovah Sabaoth, I worship You for who You are! I thank You for always having an Angel Army at my disposal. Please remind me during my times of distress that You have already sent encampments all around me. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
