God Finds Miguel

Miguel’s Mom was MAD! Madder than he had ever seen her before. Just when he thought she was going to start yelling at him she stopped. He could see she was saying a silent prayer in her head. She took a deep breath and looked at Miguel. She very calmly said “This is the third time you have been to the principal’s office this week. Miguel, I don’t understand. You would never act this way in front of your friend’s parents or Father O’Brian. I understand struggling with certain classes, but this acting out, pulling pranks, misbehaving during school is unacceptable. Miguel, even if your father and I aren’t in the room, Jesus is watching you. He is always with you, all day, every day.” Miguel had been yelled at before, but this was worse. Trying to brush away his guilt, he scoffed and thought to himself, “God can’t be watching me…” “...there are way too many people in the world for Him to keep track of me. And even if He was watching me, I am sure He would think that my pranks are funny.” Miguel grabbed his backpack and left for school.
