About the Book
In this Bible study-journal, “Beyond the Veil,” we will delve into the lives of many faithful individuals, ranging from king David to Nehemiah, a humble cupbearer, and Apostle Paul. We will find how each of these Biblical leaders turned to God during times of adversities and life’s transitions. Regardless of their roles—be it shepherd, king, official, or ambassador—they all faced challenges that revealed God's greater purpose in their lives. We will learn from their examples that when we shift our focus beyond the veil of problems towards God, we open ourselves to His love and begin to place our trust in His power and grace rather than relying solely on our own strength. This transformation compels us to adopt a Christlike character, enabling us to share the good news of the Gospel with others who seek renewed hope and sustenance. Heidi Tobin’s Bible study journal, “Beyond the Veil: Finding God’s Purpose in Life’s Adversities and Transitions”, is a thoughtfully crafted resource that offers two distinct ways to engage with its content. The first option features a prayer journaling component, which includes Scripture references, poems, and prompts for reflection. The second option builds upon this foundation by incorporating a ten-week “Going Deeper” expository Bible study. This additional feature invites readers to explore and share the hope they discover while uncovering God’s purpose amid life’s challenges. Designed to inspire adults, including senior high school and higher education students, Heidi Tobin’s Bible study encourages individuals to seek God's perspective during difficult times and life’s transitions. Heidi accomplishes this by leading the reader in examining Bible Scripture and her own poetic expression of both, Biblical leaders, and her personal experiences of navigating through life’s various trials and circumstances, with a heart focused on what God purposed by them.
