About the Author
GeorgeAnn has always felt closer to God in the Western North Carolina mountains, where for over 26 years she and her husband, Walter, had a cabin. She loves all sorts of activities, from hiking to ziplining and white-water rafting in her younger days. At age 65, she hiked to the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and overnighted at Phantom Ranch. It took her 7 hours to descend and 9 hours to hike out. It was so much fun, she did it again at age 68! Then, at age 71, she began a year’s journey in a 42-foot boat cruising around America’s Great Loop with her husband. Now, at age 84, GeorgeAnn feels she has embarked on her greatest adventure yet. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in April 2023, she took up boxing and is pushing back on this disease every day. She and her husband have been married for 61 years; they have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. She praises God for her Savior, Jesus, and her joy in writing about His precious Word.
