About the Book

I once studied under a Professor of Biblical Theology, which is the branch of theology that looks at the study of God historically more than logically. Among students, his style was caricatured without disrespect as bicycling through the Bible. I’ve always thought bicycling through the Bible wasn’t a bad idea, and so I’ve tried in this book to bicycle through the history of the Bible, focusing on the creativity, compassion and intentions of this magnificent, Living GOD! Why did it take Him more than 800,000 words to tell His-story, why is it of the utmost importance for every human being to understand it and why MUST every one of us face up to the choice to return to Him on His terms?

About the Author

He earned a Master of Divinity degree in 1972. He retired from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and Senior Army Aviator in 1996. He has been a financial planner, and a tractor-trailer road trainer. His first marriage ended after seventeen years in a fatal airplane mishap – his wife and six year-old son were killed. Ten years later a second son was killed in a motorcycle collision. He has been remarried for nearly forty years and has one surviving son from each marriage, and two grandchildren. He and his wife have informally adopted four teen-aged girls and two families. One, a homeless family of six, lived with them for four years. The husband of the other family died suddenly last year at age 50, leaving a widow and two young daughters. He and his wife are members of First Baptist Church, White House, Tennessee.
