About the Book

Are you in a season of waiting, trying to hold on to hope? Are you looking for a reminder or living proof that God has the best for you? If you are seeking encouragement through powerful stories of God’s faithfulness and attention to detail, you are in the right place. Sharing stories from their own season of singleness, meeting, relationship, and marriage, Victor and Rachel Gutiérrez encourage those waiting for a spouse, or for something else. They offer principles, wisdom, practical ideas, and reflection questions with the intent to awaken hope, reassure you that your waiting is not in vain, and gently remind you that it is always wisest to wait for God’s best—even when it takes longer than expected. While providing advice and encouragement along the way, Victor and Rachel help readers thrive in each season by sharing insights on how to: ● Wait well without settling; ● Identify and utilize practical tips and tools for every season; ● Engage with thought-provoking questions and the journal process; and ● Understand God’s design for marriage, and His heart for each of us. Worth the Wait offers hope and practical encouragement to trust God’s timing, thrive in waiting, and dream boldly again.

About the Author

Over the years, Rachel and Victor have served in a variety of ministries. Rachel spent 15 years as the church advisor for B.A.S.I.C. College Ministries at The College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, mentoring countless college students during—and often long after—their time on campus. Originally planning to serve for just a few years post-graduation, Rachel quickly realized God had other plans. This season of her life sparked a deep love for one-on-one mentoring and led to many “coffee dates” (a running joke, as she doesn’t actually like coffee!). Victor, on the other hand, has a love for coffee and previously owned two coffee shops in Mexico. In Rachel’s final year with the college ministry, Victor joined her in investing in students’ lives. Together, they stepped down when God called them to Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California, which they attended for three years. During that time, their home became a place of discipleship, encouragement, and guidance for many young adults navigating life and relationships. They have counseled couples preparing for marriage—and even had the joy of officiating a wedding. Since meeting each other, their love story has touched many lives as it has been shared in homes, churches, and across social media platforms. Though they came from two very different places—Rachel from the Troy, New York area and Victor from Mexico City—God wove their stories together in a way that continues to inspire those around them. Today, Rachel and Victor wear many hats at their local church, Oasis Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, and continue to find great joy in mentoring youth and young adults.
