Her Daddy hugged her tightly and tried to comfort her. “What is making you so sad, sweetheart?” he asked. Maggie Mae couldn’t help herself; she just burst into tears and told her Mommy and Daddy she was afraid of the slide and didn’t want to play anymore. In fact, she just wanted to go home. She was done with this place. She didn’t even want to say goodbye to her new friends. She felt so silly and didn’t want them to see her crying. When Maggie Mae’s Mommy realized what was making her so upset, she took her aside, knelt in front of her, squeezed her hands, and looked into her eyes. “Do you remember the Bible story I read to you and Roger this morning?” she asked. Maggie Mae nodded, because she remembered very well. “God needed Joshua to go on an important journey for Him. Many people were counting on him. He needed to be strong and courageous, didn’t he?” her Mommy asked and continued, “God promised Joshua that He would be with him wherever he went. I’m certain that Joshua was nervous and worried and scared too, but he believed in God and trusted Him. And because he did, he felt very brave. God wants you to believe in Him and trust Him too, Maggie Mae, because with Him, all things are possible!” And suddenly, Maggie Mae knew exactly what she needed to do. She needed to believe in God and trust Him just like Joshua did. She was ready. Maggie Mae stood tall, took a deep breath, faced her fear, and became MaggieMazing.

Maggie Mae is a kid just like any other. She loves playing with her dog, Roger, spending time with her friends, and keeping busy doing all sorts of things. Yet, she’s far from perfect. She gets into trouble occasionally, can be a little selfish now and then, and even feels scared sometimes. But when things get tough, Maggie Mae knows what to do.
