Some days, Sylvia Pollard feels as if she is flying. Yet other days, it feels like she is battling a fierce inner storm. These are just a few of the emotions that accompany caring for a medically fragile child who is unable to walk or eat. Yet even when she is feeling vulnerable and forsaken by the Lord, Sylvia finds hope, empathy, and peace in her writing.

In an inspirational collection of poems, Sylvia lyrically leads others down a path into her experiences as the Christian mother of a daughter with a rare neurological condition. Through her poetry, she explores a variety of emotions and perspectives while reminding others facing their own challenges that, although there will always be seas of clouds on their journeys through life, the Creator of those clouds still holds them safe, and provides hope and comfort during the darkest of days.

Sea of Clouds shares poetic expressions that explore the thoughts, dreams, and emotions of a special needs mother who finds strength in the arms of the Lord.

About the Author

Sylvia Anne Pollard is the mother of a special needs child who has found a safe place in her writing. Her purpose in sharing her second collection of poetry, Sea of Clouds, is for the reader to find a safe haven as she finds her own. Sylvia and her husband live with their daughter, Paige, in Missouri City, Texas.
